Aug 22, 2017 · The Very Best O2 Simulator made, Our Mini Cat Cel Fix works on the same principle as your larger OEM Catalytic Converter. The Noxious Exhaust gases are Oxidated and Converted by passing thru our custom Three Way Honeycomb Element coated with Platinum. The defouler will move the secondary O2 Sensor away from the direct flow of gasses in the catalytic converter which will trick the computer into thinking that there is still restrictions in the cat therefore keeping the Check Engine Light from coming on. Oct 29, 2015 · A code P0420 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: Leaded fuel was used where unleaded was called for A damaged or failed oxygen sensor (HO2S) Downstream oxygen sensor (HO2S) wiring damaged or connected improperly The engine coolant temperature sensor is not working properly Damaged or leaking exhaust manifold / catalytic converter / muffler / exhaust pipe Retarded spark ... Hello, I have a 2002 Camry with the p0420 code. I was going to get a defouler because it has worked on previous vehicles. Does anybody have the thread pitch for the o2 sensor or can anyone link me to one they’ve purchased that worked for them, TIA! Yeah, one of the members on the forum also got a check engine light with that one, he is the one that is looking to trade a part and wont sell. I think I am just going to order the mpx one and an o2 defouler. Unless I can get some more input from yall Thanks The rear heated oxygen sensor is mounted on the rear side of the Catalytic Converter (warm-up catalytic converter) or in the rear exhaust pipe, which is able to detect catalyst efficiency. The rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) produces a voltage between 0V and 1V. This rear heated oxygen sensor is used to estimate the oxygen storage capability. The Simulator is designed to replace the post-catalyst oxygen sensor after deleting or removing the catalytic converters. The O2 simulator sends a signal to the ECU just like a properly-operating stock O2 sensor would, ensuring that the check engine light stays off. The ECU thinks a catalytic converter is in place and will not trigger a fault code. To elaborate, you buy 2 spark plug non foulers (can be had at autozone/advanced auto) in the "help" brand. They are basically just a spacer for spark plugs. They happen to be the same thread as the O2 sensors. Buy two of them, drill one out with a 1/2" drill bit. Screw the O2 sensor into the one you drilled out. Does the QR25DE in the AC use two o2 sensors around the precat? or are both cats monitored? I know little about the setup. I got around a check engine light in my specV by using an o2 spacer (spark plug defouler) found at any auto parts store on the second o2 sensor that monitored airstream post precat. I never got a code. Hi freaks, I got it done yesterday Pictures coming soon. Sorry but they asked $35.for the Dino and I didn't wanted to spend the money. Good thing I did it because that thing is LOUD as hell. So today I had to spend $25 on a resonator and tomorrow morning am installing it. I have a Flow Master... Catless down pipe is an automatic code that can only be ignored with a custom tune as far as I was told my service manager and master tech. Your order may be eligible for Ship to Home, and shipping is free on all online orders of $35.00+. The rear o2 sensor's primary function is determining issues with the cat. It has very limited scope as far as A/F correction in normal operation. A high-flow cat or catless DP can cause the P0420 CEL because you are changing the characteristics of the exhaust flow around the sensor. This can cause the ECU to incorrectly believe there is a ...You don't drill the O2 sensor!!!!! You drill out the defouler. Do a little research, you will find multiple threads of using a spark plug defouler to add onto the O2 sensor to remove the P0420 code for a check engine light. The question is do you drill it out all the way or leave the tiny hole in the bottom of the defouler!Mitsubishi Evo X Catted Test Pipe by ETS The ETS Evolution X High Flow Cat Test Pipe is a direct replacement of the factory catalytic pipe. Oct 09, 2020 · The O2 sensors are but a part of a bigger system, and that means that a P0420 code or other car error codes doesn’t instantly mean the oxygen sensors or catalytic converters need to be replaced.

Jan 23, 2017 · The rear o2 does have input on final fueling , I believe its A/F Correction #3 , it doesnt correct huge amounts but it does have input on your final fueling, im sure most tuners turn it off , i did, also the tune needs to be setup for full time closed loop fueling to have 100% feedback from the front o2 , otherwise the car will switch back and forth between open and closed loop

Depending on how long you had it running with the aftermarket parts, you might have cut the life short on the O2. After putting on the defouler, it may take a couple days (depending on how long your drives are) for the code to disappear by itself. Worst case, just replace the sensor.

Your rear O2 sensors will have to remain in place (attached to wiring) and tied up securely! You will need a CMR tuner/dealer to correct the codes related to your mods... a custom tune is way more advisable.

If it still proves difficult to slacken the O2 sensor, you may need to have a thread chaser handy just in case you damage the cat threads. I successfully unscrewed the O2 sensor this afternoon. However, the spark plug defouler would not fit in it while the threaded section of the defouler is smaller than the hole in the exhaust.

Pulls the Oxygen Sensor further away from the exhaust gas stream.- the J shape allows the O2 sensor to be installed parallel to the exhaust pipe for better clearance.- M18 x 1.5 Thread.
